Our Legacy
H.O. Foose began in the 1970s as a tinsmithing workshop founded by Horman O. Foose, a craftsman known for his attention to detail and creative spirit. What started with tin chandeliers and lanterns eventually evolved into one of the most beloved cookie cutter brands in America. From custom cutters for large suppliers to everyday classics for home bakers, the Foose name became synonymous with quality and tradition.
For decades, the Foose family hand built each cutter using time-honored methods passed down from Horman and his wife, Maria. After their passing, the brand remained family-run and focused on preserving the craftsmanship that made it great.
In 2016, H.O. Foose was acquired by CookieCutter.com, a company committed to revitalizing American manufacturing. Today, we’re proud to continue producing Foose cutters in Missouri using tin-plated steel and stainless steel, combining classic methods with modern efficiency. We're bringing the brand back to its roots, with a new focus on brick-and-mortar retail and a renewed dedication to the handmade quality that started it all.
